„Three-Rod“ is a prototype of a visionary new category, rediscovering challenge and fun of sidecaring.
Harley-Davidson rider Martin Scheufler had a vision, using the potential of the revolutionary model V-Rod for a futuristic design study on 3-wheels. Together with his development partners Scala Design ( Concept, Design, Mould fabrication ) and sidecar wizzard Mobec ( Package, technical development, prototype development ) Martin Scheufler as project leader put pen to paper and drew up the following features:

Monobloc handlebar design with integral Drive-By-Wire
Foot clutch and electric gear change
Monitor display for Reverse drive, Sat-Nav and helmet camera
Electric and hydraulic hood opening for ease of access

The outer surface of „Three-Rod“ consists of carbon fibre sandwich, the chassis provides independent suspension and n Duodrive including reverse gear. Forged BBS 17“-alloy wheels shod with tyres of 205/40 ZR 17 provide extra grip. Handbrake operates hydraulically, Xenon-headlamps and LED-lighting round up the picture.
